Exactly. If he was told you have a tiny amount of money to spend, you can only pay poor wages for the league we're in and the be player has to accept A) being relegated is likely and b) a clause that says they'll be paid even less if we go down which looks likely, I'm assuming his hands were somewhat tied.

Such a desperate shame when he knows the problem and has team that can score enough but his defense is poor including someone who is banned and has very little options to do anything. I don't blame the manager at all for this mess

Too little too late, if he lines up with the diamond again next week with the same personnel then he deserves everything he gets. Its not just the players out of their depth at the moment.

 

He was the same in the forces, when he was marching, with the platoon ....everyone else was out of step!!!

 

He's absolutely right though. Time and time again the stats tell us we've bossed a game only to lose by the odd goal, or in Portsmouth and Preston's case more. We can't give the opposition a start and expect to win. We're a good side with a s*** defence.

 

We would have won yesterday with last years defence, we would have won quite a few more games actually.

it felt like they battered us but Radlinger didn’t make a save all day. They scored 2 from pretty much there only chances. Poor defending caused both of there goals.

We have a young inexperienced right back in Jordan Williams and Cavare can't get a game, now even behind the 12 year old Ludwig Von Beethoven
We have comedy duo at Centre Half, one of who has allegedly failed a drugs test.
Yet we bring in an Austrian pub league defender (but at least he has an armful of tattoos even though he can't play for toffee)
We have Halme who can play at CB but he leaves him in Defensive Midfield whilst Dougal sits on the bench.
We have let Sibbick show Hearts how he can actually play
We have a vastly experienced player in Pinillos demoted to the U23 squad and is prompted to vent his anger on Twitter

Here's a proposition Mr Struber:
Bring back Cavare and Pinillos, push Oduor up to defensive mid, drop Halme back to CB and start Thiam instead of Thomas

The team needs a massive shake-up of Wednesday proportions, we need to inject some power, muscle, directness, and fight, going on as you are will see you leaving in a taxi with your ineffective powder puff signings heading back to Austria.

 

Think we’ll struggle to move these Austrians on again personally without taking a big hit financially. Another massive fook up in the recruitment plan.
