Three first half’s in a row we’ve come out half hearted and clueless and one a first division side. Not taking anything away from Portsmouth by that remark it’s more intended as wtf at our attitude and tactics.
It's very concerning isn't it. We're a long way short of being a good team in this league. But when we give it our best we are competitive. We might not win because we lack that bit of quality, but we're capable of giving the opposition a game. As you said, we've come out in the last three games and done less than zero in the first half. That's not acceptable.
There's a reason why, at the age of 27, despite being on the books of some very poor teams, he's barely played any football. It's because he's crap.
Also we’ve conceded minutes before half time which have killed any hope . We put up a fight second half but imo it’s too little too late teams are just sitting back soaking us up. Just not sure how many times an opposition player has to have free reign from a set piece before we learn to challenge .
How we didn’t score more than 1 I’ll never know. I’ve seen us miss chances but that second half was unreal. Instead of calmely placing our chances we were trying to make 8 yard out shots look like worldies
I know Collins had a shocker last week but when playing regularly earlier in the season he was consistently decent. Radlinger hardly ever makes a save. I’d love to see his stats for saves per shots saved. The fact that Collins is in a long term deal with us and fits in the plan of developing him makes it a no brainer that he should be playing. At least Radlinger will be back in Austria come August. Hope he’s joined by his other compatriots too....
Collectively they've faced 155 shots on target and conceded 63 goals. One in 2.46 shots on target hit the back of the net.
Luton: 159/65 (1 in 2.45) Wigan: 111/44 (2.52) Stoke: 111/46 (2.41) And at the other end West brom: 121/33 (3.67) Leeds: 86/27 (3.19) Fulham: 105/32 (3.29) The only thing is that I included cup games in ours but couldn't be arsed with theirs
So, towards the wrong end of that league table, but not totally out of sync. That tells me goalkeepers are **** and we may as well not bother with one. Play 11 outfield players.
I'm surprised how few shots they save. Included cup games now and the picture is roughly the same Luton: 180/73 (2.47) Wigan: 124/47 2.64) Stoke: 117/48 (2.44) Leeds: 100/30 (3.33) West brom: 155/40 (3.88) Fulham: 121/38 (3.18)
Anyone know where Collins was yesterday - dropped or injured as Walton was on the bench. I've nothing against Walton, just wondering
