    Hi
Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for food for the family this weekend? Are the food places separate or is it get your food and sit anywhere?
Can't seem to find any pics online.
    Cheers

They are only upstairs in the market, quite a lot of choice from the usual greasy spoon cafes to pizza, Thai etc and sit where you want but will be busy saturday

I suspect you’re referring to Market Kitchen which has been really busy since it opened. None of the food vendors in there have dedicated seating. You order your food and they give you a device which vibrates when your food is ready to collect. You can sit anywhere you like. The nicer area is down at the back near the bar. If you’ve been to any other street food places or modern ‘canteens’ it’s no different to that.

On a side note, The Glassworks is the name for the whole development and only about a third of it is open and complete.

I’ve tried nearly all of them and it’s bloody excellent just what Barnsley needs ! Lunchtime I’d say it’s a bit expensive but not for a night out and the food is great never had much of a problem getting a seat just a bit of patience at busy times

We usually go before going out on a Saturday if we go round town or go up to Trades or Gawber Road Club, it's good food for the money!

Been there a couple of times now and it's excellent, just what Barnsley needs. I've had the gyros and duck so far and been impressed, other I've been with have had thai and indian too which have been good quality too. It's not cheap by Barnsley standards, but it's good food and a really good atmosphere.

That Indians the cheapest food for miles, drinks are just your normal prices now.

Brilliant place, it will be good in the summer when more of the square is built and the terrace is open.
