Summer transfer window to be extended.

Premier league showing their power again. 2year ago they wanted it shortening and everybody had to follow. It's time the 72 football league clubs had a say

 

Wouldn't make any difference to us it was open all year round these morons will still **** things up

 

I think now players hold all the aces they should ditch the window altogether and you should be able to move between clubs when you like if all parties are in agreement. I don't think it benefits anyone sulking from August until January or January until May because they aren't getting a game or playing in the under 23's.

Surely that would really weaken the lower league teams, impossible to plan for when the minute your striker reaches double figures a higher team come in for him

 

and up goes his price. It's the release price trigger thats screwing it all up.

 

About time the 'Premier League' didn't get their own way. Expected everyone to fall in line with them and when it didn't happen they have reverted back to the previous format.

Even longer to make a mess of things. Just what we need.

 

One thing I agreed with Hecky about. It's vital the players you sign want to play for the football club. Things can happen during their spell but first and foremost they have to buy into what you want to achieve.

If you sign those types of player the transfer window becomes irrelevent. I think Mcgeehan, Woodrow and Mowatt fall into that bracket.

That said I think Cryne's young, hungry players wanting to wear the shirt has been abused and turned purely into a profit production line.

That doesn't mean they aren't signing the best young players they can afford. However, it becomes clear quite quickly some are duds. That's why I think the transfer window needs scrapping. It helps all parties.

 

I saw this mentioned the other day, and one of the reasons was to take advantage of the last time when European players can use freedom of movement to come to the UK. As of December it will be a lot harder for teams like us to sign anyone from Europe.

 

And that's bad news ?

 

We consistently buy dudds from Europe, this seasons no different imho. More of the clubs money has been pi$$ed away sadly as we probably won’t get a return on most of these players.

On current form, we probably shouldn't sign anyone from the UK either...
