4 touches in 11 minutes whilst we're in the ascendancy against a **** team at home. He offered, and as far as I've seen offers us, nothing. A waste of a sub spot.
Just one of the many reasons why the Excel software should be removed from Cryne juniors and the rest of the recruitment teams PCs laptops Tablets and smart pbones. Before they get the chance to identify some more European world beaters in the next "best ever" transfer window.
But much worse than most other professional footballers in the division in which he competes. If we're looking for subs to come on and offer nothing, chuck a young lad on from the academy for 25% of the price.
To be fair there is evidence that you’ve contributed more to the greater good of the universe than Patrick Schmidt but unless I’m misunderstanding the point of your original post, you’re just writing off a young guy trying to make his way in the world.
Not at all. I hope he goes on to do incredible things in his career with us & he may do just that. But for now, my question is what's the point of us putting a player on the pitch in an attacking position that only touches the ball 4 times, makes no noticable impact on the game or offers little in terms of work rate for the greater good? He might turn into Cristiano Ronaldo but for us, right now, he's f.cking pointless.
He's Schmidt, & he knows he is. Not ready. Hope the lad makes it, but if he is the best we can put on in a local derby, we have nothing off the bench. Callum Styles proved the opposite & Bahre did OK. Very good performance today from the lads. Much better in defence.Soul Banger & Mads looked solid. Oduor or Mowatt for MOTM for me. Mads did well too.
He did play one killer pass but I get your general point My general point is that the criticism of certain players doesn’t sit comfortable with me. They’re young lads giving their all as far as I can see. I enjoy paying my money to watch them. It’s not their fault that they’ve been thrust into a level that maybe they’re not quite ready for but I wouldn’t write any of them just yet.
Well if he gets bonus money for making an appearance from the subs bench (does this still exist in players' contracts?) he's doing pretty well out of it. Like any player he needs a run of games then we can make a judgement.
He’s a young lad, living away from home for the first time in a foreign country and trying to do well for himself in one of the biggest leagues in the world. Did anyone seriously expect the lad to light up the league? Give him a break ffs. If any of you listen to Undr The Cosh, you’ll appreciate just how difficult it can be, especially that first season. He’s got ability though - his first goal against Stoke was a composed finish, and his Millwall goal was a great header. Back him and support him.
I have a theory that he’s the most talented player at the club and the owners expect him to be the best player in the world in a couple of years, so they’ve signed half of Austria to make him feel at home.
