Used to love the suspense of having to wait for the multiple pages to flick over to find out if we'd scored, that and bamboozle though think that was on the channel 4 version
This is for you sir, https://www.teletextholidays.co.uk/...k&utm_campaign=FBBamboozle28112013#/bamboozle
Ceefax was due to finish on 30th of January (due to cost cutting) but the BBC have been inundated with emails etc saying they want to keep it so the BBC are looking into it - i won't hold my breath!
I liked the 'in vision' score updates you could get at the bottom of the screen while watching something else. It wasn't replicated when the digital version came in.
Yep searching or looking for holidays, you finally see one that looks the dogs swingers, and whoosh, it's gone you have to wait for page 11/200 doing the loop again
You needed a flashy TV like one I bought in the mid 80's that stored all the pages so you could flip back and forwards through them once they had loaded once
Bamber Boozler was definitely one of the stars of the channel 4 text world, but the real legend was the Man With A Long Chin (and his Daddy). Megazine was good too.
