Too little too late and absolutely pointless spending the money now. We are nine points adrift having played a game more - we will be at least nine points adrift after tonight’s games, and quite possibly more. We would struggle to turn this round if we signed Van Dijk and De Bruyne. One or both of the Tom’s will likely sign though - after all these owners need to be seen to be trying don’t they? It’s not like they’ve just had a full month to achieve nothing but a couple of Austrians. What bothers me though is how bad must their trials have been if they’ve not shown themselves to be better than we have? Especially Smith - if he isn’t a more competent centre half than Mads Andersen he ought to give up.
I’ll have three of what you’re on. To be fair you’re consistently saying we will stay up. I hope you’re right and the majority are wrong - but it doesn’t seem too likely. Your IF is a very big IF - and I’m afraid it is more like a highly unlikely, either with Tom and Tommy signing or not.
We are doomed this season so we should be forward thinking towards next season. Tom Carroll if only half fit would be head and shoulders above anything in league 1.
