I was impressed with Struber initially but it looks to me like he's starting to lose the plot a little bit. Alienating players, random team selections and players out of position are never good signs.
Things need to improve or he won't last too long with our owners.

I think they will sack him either once we are relegated or at the seasons end. They'll want a new man for next season to try and build optimism again and to deflect from where we have gone so catastrophically wrong.

Where has he been a successful manager? Until 5 years ago he was a salesman.

Since then he's not managed a full season with any team full time

I would be very surprised if Oduor or Struber left the club in the summer.
Odour will be worth £££millions in a season or two.
It cost the club about £1 million to get Struber.
And as Struber has been thrown in the deep end by the clubs recent recruitment policy to sign only young players I doubt that he can be blamed for anything that is happening right now.

I don’t know the ins and outs of what’s happening behind the scenes but I strongly believe there are happy times ahead.
But it’s going to take a few seasons.
I’m more positive about moving forward now than I ever was during the Patrick era.

I thought Struber made the correct decision. And with Styles. Not saying their replacements were any better or that others on the pitch were playing well, but I said at the time I'd take Oduor off and replace Styles at half time. Thought their performances were beyond not having a good game. Doesn't mean they won't be good players but yesterday both were a liability. Yes, I know, Andersen is too. I wouldn't play him.

You're right, it'll all be about deflection.
I'd feel a bit sorry for Struber though as I did for Morais.

That's just because you like to be contrary. Dont think your mate Hecky agrees with you, or Stendel or indeed Struber and definitely no fan that I know of!

You’ve got to laugh not long since folk were moaning about lack of substitutions and not reacting fast enough.
Odour looked well off the pace to me last night and as he plays in a key position the manager acted.
Ironically if he hadn’t acted and we had conceded from a mistake on that flank folk would have been hammering him for not acting ( probably some of the same ones)
The manager sets tactics fair enough but how do we know whether they would work or not with players struggling to string three meaningful passes together and keep repeating abysmal mistakes at the back.

I agree he was right to change things, the problem is it didnt. Plus as MOTM on Sat he could have been cut some slack.

The trouble is North Yorks, we did concede from a mistake in the left back channel. Jordan Williams didn’t do his job and just jogged back whilst watching Mads ‘dangerous Brian’ Andersen come across and, well to be honest I’m not sure what he tried to do, but instead of cleaning the ball and the man if necessary into next week, he trapped it on the touchline and kept running, leaving the 16 year old kid with the freedom of Oakwell to run on and play a simple pass into our penalty area.

Had Clarke Oduor been on the pitch, he may well have taken charge of the situation where Williams didn’t. Probably would have. If not, he would likely have tracked back quicker and potentially covered Mads’ brain fart. Maybe not.

Either way, dragging him off serves no purpose if his replacement in his position is as woeful as Williams regularly is.

That’s where me and you differ.
I don’t give a flying fig what people think of me in real life - never mind on a message board.
And as for being contrary - that’s clearly not the case because I’ve already agreed with a poster on this thread.
So that’s where me and you differ again.
I have my own opinion BEFORE I read what others are posting on here.
    Try it.

Oh no I have my own opinions but I don't just choose the opposite viewpoint all the time. You were so far up Heckys you know what and anti owners and now all of a sudden they have this wonderful plan that you fully back. You and the owners might think people have short memories but it's a dangerous game if you want to be taken seriously.

I have NEVER been against these new owners.
In fact these new owners are probably the best thing that has happened to this club for a very long time.
Again you have read something said about me and believed it.
Remember - I was the only supporter to welcome Chien Lee at the first press conference.

What I am aggrieved about re: owners is their shortage of comments to the media.
But I was saying this way back when Ganaye was first appointed at the club - and most on here were telling me to shut up back then.
Opinions have changed now regarding the silence from the club.

First 10 minutes Oduor cut inside Bellingham twice & once it nearly lead to a goal. After that either the player or his coach told him to let him inside & he was way stronger & took him out 3 times & it could have lead to a goal for them. Oduor was up against a better player for once, but to lose one of our best players was baffling, unless he was indeed carrying a knock.

Bellingham at 16 was their best player on the park. After that Jordan Williams was told to hold back, after the switch was made. This cancelled out any threat we had down the left also though & we had no one that could hit a corner, or any dead ball, as Mowatt is poor at that in comparison. Bellingham looks an amazing prospect. 5 years younger than Brown, but looks to have it all.

Fair enough if someone is playing bad take them off he has done it twice with bahre on 20 odd minutes and then to odour last night. My problem is we not even a quarter of the way through a game, young players at 20 year old will make mistakes like anything you hope they learn from them and get better dragging them off after 20 minutes wont help their confidence. You could also say why wasnt radlinger taken off v stoke after his **** up or anderson v derby away when he had a mare or preston at home. Just baffling stuff from struber.

He’s a ***** gaffer who will never become a decent manager in this country. Nothing against him, but he, like 90% of the team, are well out of their depth and have failed us badly.

btw, Whoever we have scouting in Austria needs ******* sacking.
