Whilst I agree it’s time that rules should be adhered to ( otherwise what’s the point) , it’s noticeable with UEFA that as usual it seems to be one law for English clubs and one for the rest. That’s not sympathising with City, just saying if they go for one they should go for the rest.
There might be a coaching role for Pep at Oakwell soon. So long as he's prepared to work with his hands tied behind his back and no money to spend he'll do fine. Oh and never use the word "experience".
There are calls for them to investigate Paris St Germain, because like City, they too have apparently breached the guidelines.
I never knew FFP existed in the Champions League. A competition devised purely to make money has a limit on how much money you can spend? I don't understand life anymore.
To be fair no one has to give liverpool the prem this season. They are a machine and have steamrollered every one. If a team gets 100 points from possible 102 you just have to take ya hat off to them.
Article on BBC website speculates on what could happen at Man City if the UEFA ban is upheld. States that John Stones's contract is up in 2022. If he moved, would we qualify for a further " windfall" payment, or was that it when he left Everton for the Etihad.? Man City's European ban Q&A: What could this mean for the club? https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51511252
So they’ve broken UEFA FFP rules and been subjected to penalties by UEFA. Have they not then also broken FA FFP rules? or are they different rules? Why has UEFA taken action but not the FA? Have they not broken any FA FFP rules?
City in league 2 a possibility? That'd put the wind up certain Championship clubs. Won't happen mind, although Sevco got dumped into the Scottish bottom tier.
A serious response. I think its brilliant what they've done, upsetting the apple cart of Europes elite. Part of my sons U8s team have also had the experience of being on trial with them and been shown around the best training complex in Europe. My missus is from down the road so what they have built in the **** hole that is clayton has regenerated the area. We have also benefited greatly from their millions. My only disappointment is that they haven't signed Messi.
Apparently City are denying any breach and intend to contest UEFA's ruling. Manchester City chief executive Ferran Soriano says FFP breaches 'simply not true' https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51562352
No surprise there. They were always going to challenge the ruling and will almost certainly win and have the judgement overturned.
Excellent result tonight against UEFA royalty. Maybe they'll now try and kick them out of the Champions League early if Real can't overturn it in the second leg.
