At 1-1 Liverpool camped out in West Ham's half but have fallen for the sucker punch and the Hammers
now lead 1-2. This wonderful game we all love, never ceases to amaze me.

Embarrassingly bad keeping. Wouldn't expect Collins or Radlinger to make that mistake.

Apart from the ****-up, I thought the WH keeper pulled off some great saves, keeping them in the game.

I realise that Liverpool are not everybody's second favourite club, but from being a young lad,
I've always liked them and I always look out for their score. Like Barnsley, as a club, they have
always tried to play football in the right way. Before I quit work, I became firm friends with a couple
of our former senior managers who were both season ticket holders at Anfield.

Like myself , they both dislike Manchester United and their band of cosmopolitan supporters
with a passion and never lose any opportunity to tell any that they happen to come across that
    Liverpools time has now come.

After tonight, they need four more wins to win their first ever Premiership title. Looking at those
next four re- Watford (away), Bournemouth ( home), Everton ( away) and Crystal Palace ( home),
you wouldn't bet against them being hailed as League Champions at Selhurst Park on the evening
    of Saturday 21 st March.

I'm hoping that come early May there's a double to celebrate re- Liverpool
winning the title and against all the odds, our beloved Reds surviving in the Championship.
That will be something to really celebrate.

My dad, from Consett in County Durham and in a family full of Newcastle fans was a big Liverpool fan. Bit bizarre you’d think but he lost his mum young and the couple who lived next door bought him a football kit for his ninth birthday. It was all red.

Lived all his life after the age of two or three in Doncaster - but he went to Anfield a few times every season in his adult life and always went to the away games at Hillsborough and Bramall Lane when they were in the same division. Elland Road too on occasion.

He died young, aged 42, in 2004. I had long since been purely Barnsley in allegiance after having been brought to games from the age of ten or eleven - but prior to that I’d have told anyone I supported Liverpool.

For that reason I always look for their results, in the same way I was delighted that Leicester won the league the other year as my grandad was from Melton Mowbray and a Leicester supporter. He saw that before he died a couple of years ago.

Liverpool will win the league - clearly - and for the memory of my dad I’ll be happy enough with that. I’d be happier if we manage to finish 21st or higher though...

Agree. Salah should have ripped net with his effort. It should have been a goal without the fumble. Watching it live I thought certain goal just from the build up. They carved West Ham open.

Imagine how I felt when that goal went in.
If you’ve read any of my previous posts re: betting, you won’t be surprised to learn that I backed West Ham @ 14/1!!

If Liverpool fail to win the Premiership for the first time in their history ( seeing as the 18 times they won the league before it was called the Prem dont count) it would be the biggest shock ever. A Bit like Donny Red I have a soft spot for them I watched them occasionally when I was at Uni there almost 40 years ago now and remember the team under Bob Paisley that was by far the best team in England at the time and quite possibly the best in Europe as well. I expect by the end of March I will be happy that they are Champions but it doesnt really matter that much to me compared to the Reds I really support- if I can celebrate a great escape come May that will make me happy

14-1 - boy are the bookies tight West Ham gave it a good go though should have lost by more but could have nicked it. Shame Sala didnt bury his goal in the corner giving Fabianski no chance rather than it clearly being an error. Always better when goals are a result of great play rather than individual errors - though that one had both

My first ever game was a friendly between Scunthorpe and Liverpool in maybe 1980 - preceding my first visit to Oakwell by a couple of years. The year after I saw Scunthorpe play Spurs, so I saw the defending league champions followed by the FA cup winners before I ever saw Barnsley.

There are times I need my bumps felt.

They've won every game at Anfield so far this season. Obviously helped by the fact that they haven't had to play a team that have won on their last two trips there.

One of my mates went to Uni in Liverpool to do his PhD and returned there as a lecturer in Science some years
later. We used to visit him in Liverpool at the weekends and often took in the game when the Reds were
at home. Like Oakwell, Anfield therefore has a special place in some of my fondest football memories.
