Why did they need a var check for Man U penalty?

That was the most blatant handball by the Bruges player.
It was a red card. It was a penalty.
Why did it take nearly 4 minutes to confirm it?

 

Personally I’d look for any way out of giving Man U a penalty

 

I always thought that Man Utd automatically got a penalty each game.

 

I notice we had what looked like a blatant penalty denied last night. I know people don't like it but can't help but wonder what difference var would make to some of our games

 

Its like that old joke NYT....... bloke in Manchester finshes his late shift and gets in a pub near old trafford.... spots his mate and says to him "how did we do".... "0-0 " says his mate " FFS who missed our freckin penalty then " he retorts.
