I agree it’s weaker but so is L1 I don’t think there will be a clear out but Woodrow and Brown will go.
2 things that’s guaranteed in life, death and Barnsley unable to survive in the championship...-always bin a cheerful soul me
Given we will have a budget for replacements that will make a strong team. I think relegation this season would be a disaster, but we'll be back next season & think the owners know that.
Are we out of the bottom 3? You would expect the players we signed with zero experience to pick up marginally as they have done allied with the signing of an experienced centre half. Struber deserves credit for making us competitive but the only metric to measure him on is where we finish at the end of the season.
We have improved inordinately during February, there are 30 points up for grabs and we need 15 to have a chance of staying up. Our goal difference over Luton is worth a point. So as a glass half full bloke we are staying up. I'm not bothered about the armchair pundit realists who only want to tell me their 'smart arsed' I told you so comments at the end of April. I'll save my hand- wringing despair if in the unlikely event we go down.
Mowatt and mcgheehan will have one year remaining in the summer unless they sign new deals which is unlikely I think we will cash in on them. Not saying we will get massive amounts but every little helps and mowatt is better than league one.
Wish I was as confident we have been promoted once in our history following relegation (last season) I bet Ipswich also thought they would bounce straight back with a big budget, not to mention sunderland or sheffield united who were in league one 6 years with a bigger budget than ours.
I'll judge him on his 30 games he will have been in charge of, he'll probably be here next season to have another crack at it anyway. Up to you if you want to blame him for the start of the season.
We've been in the bottom 3 for longer under Stuber than Stendel. And we're actually no nearer to getting out of it - if you look at the number of points were adrift. I know you hate Stendel, but Mr Struber has had more games than him and we've managed the massive jump of 24th to 23rd.
When he meets the league 1 defenders he ll not know whats hit him and realise English football might not be for him. He could try the pork pie diet to bulk up and watch some Andy Rammel videos, that may help.
The only way we stay up is by maximum point deductions for the FFP-flaunters. There are still plenty of performances like the one we had against Reading left in us - I doubt we’ll manage 2pts a game from here.
Far from hate. http://barnsleyfc.org.uk/threads/what-a-lad.282381/#post-2334724 You can only judge it on the ppg hes picked up he doesn't have any influence on other teams results. When he took over there were 18pts between top and bottom, theres now 35pts for an equal argument.
