    I'm reading Haunted Barnsley and it was in that. Don't believe owt, it was a Kindle deal!

    There's also a ghost on Hermit Lane - which l believe is near there.

    Can remember as a kid in Barnsley some story about a house that had a ‘presence ’ where there was supposed to be a walking move on it’s own and tap itself on the floor. Sounds daft now like.

    I was told in the 1980s by the Barnsley Odeon management that the murder occurred at the time the Exorcist film was being screened there but no-one made the connection.
