Imho effort wasnt the problem yesterday. We were bossed by a team we didnt know how to play effectively against.

The fact people were saying it when we were drawing proves the point that bitter people after a loss say it?

I didn't know Oakwell was full of people who could see into the future

Not really because a draw was not going to be enough. We needed to go all out for a win!

You’ve said it just now. If we had drawn (unlikely) you wouldn’t have.

So we abandon our usual style because it’s hard to play it against Cardiff and then adopt a style no one at the club is comfortable or at ease with .

He only had to ask. I bet every single person in the ground could have told him exactly how Cardiff would play.

And God knows what he said in his half-time team talk. I looked at the clock on 56 minutes and we still hadn't got the ball out of our own half.

In my opinion, we abandoned our usual method of play because the pitch made short passing a lottery. Unfortunately, with no big man up front, the alternative was just as likely to see us beaten.

I suppose you could say those tactics worked in first half and if we’d any quality could have been in front .
    Second half ????

I'm no groundsman, but I'm scratching my head at the logic of watering the pitch just before a match starts. Doesn't that make it softer and easier to cut up?

Before the game, they do not put enough water on the pitch to make any difference to the ground conditions, but it does put a film of water on the top which makes the ball come off the top lower and faster, which makes the pass quicker and makes the ball easier to control.

Disagree. I've seen players lose their footing directly because of the water plenty of times

Pitch made no difference yesterday. Cardiff played on the same pitch

What let us down yesterday was naivety, poor marking and poor decision making

I’ve looked back to the 1st goal and just before the pass is released to adomah. Two of our players are following the ball

That is inexcusable in my eyes. Poor goal to give away as was the second which was am hopeful lofted ball from their full back
