Yesterday was crying out for some width. That’s what’s needed against physical long ball sides like Cardiff and Millwall. Struber’s subs were clueless and changed nothing. I fear how effective the diamond will be in L1 too...
Agreed. Only difference I would have is that despite how poor he was yesterday, I'd try Thomas on the left. Pacey left footer, beat your full back and whip balls in for the front 2. Dougall is a must. Frees up Mowatt to hopefully get over the halfway line.
It is currently, I just would like to see him on the left. At the minute he's playing on the right of the diamond, meaning he has to cut back in all the time as his right foot is worse than Long John Silver's.
At the start of the second half I said to the bloke at the side of me 'we must have made a change because Thomas has come on'.
Brown needs to be up top for me. He’s the only one that wins headers & stretches teams. Both Woodrow & Chaplin like playing off another forward & didn’t look a good partnership to me.
My go at being Manager.. I think it's time to drop Chaplin sadly. Ineffective Saturday and could be used as an impact sub. We need some width + Dougall in midfield. Trouble is he's looked a shadow of his former self whenever he's played this season - could be a lot to do with the jump in quality of the leagues though but he needs his chance. Why we've loaned McGeehan/Wilks out is beyond me - sure they're not the answer but we've got virtually no competition for places at the moment. Inclusion of Ritzmaier and B Williams at the weekend for instance - baffling. I like to see Odour in the team but he's been exposed at left back before so my team would be: ....................Collins Ludewig Halme Solbauer J Williams Brown Dougall Mowatt Odour ....................Bahre .................Woodrow Subs - Walton Pinnilos Andersen Thomas Simoes Chaplin Thiam
