I remember around that time at school we were asked if any of us were members of football teams who played on a Sunday. Apparently our names and teams were taken and passed on to the SFA because they and the Church of Scotland were totally against any sort of organised football on a Sunday.
Also this was also at the time you could not get a drink on a Sunday. Only hotels were open for business and only to residents.

Redhelen and Andy Mac like this.
