have you see the tech they are using in Taiwan. Automatic isolation when you arrive and you are tracked by your phone that you have to have on at all times. You have to isolate for 14 days paying for a hotel if you can’t do it at home and if If your phones off for more than an hour they send in the coppers.

Interesting I didnt know it was quite that draconian - but I am working with a company that does some production in Taiwan and the production centre is operating totally normally at the moment and I believe for the people already there life is fairly normal

Temperature checks on entering buildings too. I did read that they were doing that on flights into China (including mandatory masks) and 14 day quarantine.

I had similar a few years ago in the MERS outbreak when I spent a couple of weeks in Malacca (Malaysia) no quarantine but they took your temperature before they let you through the gates at the factory every day
If only the UK had done similar things would be a lot different but its too late now - also not sure how we handle trucks bringing food etc in from Europe - you cant quarantine those for 2 weeks

2 scary videos. This will be Trumps downfall if he follows through with his plan. They’ll realise his love of the dollar over life. Society will change after all this and people wake up to reality. No longer will they pander to the rich who bleed the workers. realise who create the wealth and who are vital. (Hopefully). Bill Gates he ain’t. (Trump)

Disagree. So many people will be so desperate for money after getting into serious debt due to losing their job (the government funding cannot carry on as long as this policy takes) and jobs will be in such short supply due to thousands upon thousands of businesses going under that people will feel compelled o do whatever they're asked by their bosses.

That bill is absolutely disgusting . It's just another round of corporate theft while the people get scraps . Of course if any one had stood up and apposed it they would have been labelled un American / traitor etc . 300 billion for small business / citizens ; 6 trillion for big business / banks . I'm even hearing it will go as high as 14 trillion but the everyday American won't see a dime of it .

We don't produce enough food in the UK to feed the population. We don't manufacture all the medication we need. We don't... The list is endless.

How do we propose to do this under the above conditions?

Apparently Trump has signed the Defence Production Act, requiring General Motors to produce ventilators.

Well some motor producing firms willingly built hardware for the Nazis, but had to be legislatively forced to build respirators for their own people and mankind ........says it all really.

Don't take what Donald says as gospel. He plays a game. GM were already, willingly making efforts to produce ventilators but Donald being Donald expects everything instantly. He has criticised the CEO of GM many times in the past (he doesn't like women remember) and took this opportunity to do it again. He has used legislation that wasn't needed simply because he wanted to show his power. All he's done is said too slow, too slow. I want it now. Now. Now. And invoked his powers. Guess what. He won't get them any quicker
