I've just completed the online form (I think) for UC.
At the end when it asked for my confirmation and my wife's confirmation of details that was fine, but I then expected I would be asked to do this, do that, phone here, there or wherever, or we'd get an email confirming the application etc.
It just seemed to fizzle out and stop. The to-do lists were complete as was the journal.
It didn't say what would happen next. Do I get contacted or what?
Have any of you experience with this application cos it's all new to me. Never done this sort of thing before.

You get a message in your universal credit journal telling you when you got interview on phone instead of having to go to job centre

You'll be called - you'll probably get a journal entry telling you when.

They've had to cut swathes of work out of the process meaning it'll feel a bit 'work in progress' but what would you expect, there's no way they can invite you into the office and ask you to prove you're looking for work 35 hrs a week (normal practice).

IIRC the new applications for UC number about 1 million in the last fortnight, so you might be in a little queue. Good luck.

Oh - and just as a public information broadcast...

DWP will never email or text you asking for personal details. Always use the link on their website for contacting them :)
