I was wondering if people would stop eating fast food after all this is over.
Where I live there are fast food places every few hundred feet, not joking either. Fast food places are advertising non-touch food delivery but I don't know how that could happen, food comes out of cooking resource, oven etc., gets put in box or bag, given to delivery driver, given to customer, no gloves are worn in the delivery process.
I have noticed my work colleagues used to buy fast food every working day, now they seem to bring it from home (I have done this since I started working in the early 80's). Not only is this healthier, but obviously less expensive. What are your thoughts.

I've noticed a lot less litter on the Trans Pennine Trail since Macdonald's shut so that's another good thing to come out of it.

Sky is also a lot clearer. Living on routes to Manchester, Leeds and Donny airports the sky above me is usually a crisscross of vapour trails. Today is totally clear blue sky with no trails to be seen anywhere. Its allowing the earth to recover.

I’m not certain of this but from what I have seen through my front window it appears a lot more people are out having their daily exercise since it’s been on ration than ever there was before

That’s also because a lot would have been at work etc and probably exercising elsewhere.

That's a consequence of more people being at home and there being bugger all else to do. I've seen loads of families out walking where normally kids would be at school and parents working. In school holidays they'd be taking kids to seaside cinema, bowling, zoos etc all of which are out of bounds. Sounds stupid but kids should be a bit healthier after this is done.

    Not a chance.

How far do you reckon the queue will be on Dearne Valley Parkway when McDonalds opens at Cortonwood - I reckon it'll be past the foundry.

Domino's has never been so busy.

Just Eat- Share price in February $7. Share price today $20.

    It's a shame mind.

I have takeaway once every couple of weeks on average and had my first of the lockdown last Saturday night.

Ordered a chicken shish kebab and all the parts came separately so that I could assemble it myself.

I’m guessing takeaways are using a lot of utensils right now but you would hope that they were hygienic before all this.

I should come out of this healthier, and (if I keep working) a lot better off financially. Its amazing how much money you spend on non-essential drinks, snacks, take-aways and meals/trips out. Very boring though - pity we couldn't do this through the winter.

We've stopped having takeaways at the moment. I know they say that any virus on food will be killed because of the temperature it's been cooked at, but what if it gets coughed on after it's come out of the oven.

Mark Cavendish hit the nail on the head last week. <paraphrasing> Governments for years have been advising people to get outdoors and keep fit. On the whole, that advice hasn't been too successful. Government advises folk to stay home / stay safe, and lo and behold the nation turns into a set of outdoor fitness obsessives.

I wouldn’t risk it either but I think the idea is that you pop it in the oven for a few mins when it arrives as the virus dies at not too high a temperature.

But what about the delivery drivers handling the food package, no gloves then hands it to you, not about the food inside, you just never know. Like stated before, the driver could have sneezed into their hands before handing the food to you!
I don't really eat much fast food, maybe once every 3 months, but I am sure this won't change after, might stop altogether. My wife lost her job in July last year so I bought her some cooking and recipe books, she was never a great cook but now she enjoys it

Like I said, I wouldn’t order it but you could ask them to leave it outside. You then put on gloves, take the pizza out of the box/tip food out of a container onto a microwaveable plate and bin the takeaway container and gloves. Wash your hands and then put the baking tray/plate into the microwave/oven.
