    Bit difficult under the circumstances and that - but if anyone generally takes walks along Doncaster Road, particularly near Oaks Lane - it would be a great favour to me is someone could just take some video footage of that area on their phone. Don't go out of your way though.

    It's not for anything dodgy! I live in the South of England and I need it for a school project to help some learners.

    Do you mean in the Stairfoot area. Oaks Lane starts near top of Kendray Hill and meets with Hoyle Mill lane near where the old pit shaft is now. The canal was near to where Travel lodge is now and went under the road bridge and passed near to where the Aldi is, and passed the Keel pub etc. Incidentally, quite a few old photos of canal and Stairfoot Railway Station in the Keel.
