Fckin jesus, mi Dad would have pummeled mi to with an inch of my life, ad uv bin in a right state, and quite rightly.
Given the actual meaning of the word and the fact that at that moment in time his dad probably would have liked to disown him, it was probably appropriate!!
I felt the same watching it. I agree with the gesture, not that I think he will learn a great deal from it. He could've got his point across without using language himself. Came across more that he wanted everyone to know he didn't condone his son's behaviour rather than actually teaching him a lesson.
You assumed it’s done for likes. You assumed it’s been set up to go viral. you’ve slagged off society as desperate. that’s 3 assumptions. Well done you.
As a former part-time Youth Worker, that clip serves as a reminder as to how broken our society has become. For a whole host of reasons, some young people have zero respect for anyone or anything and have a particular hatred of the Police. I was once asked to connect with a group of young people who were deemed to be anti-social and who all lived on one of Wakefields more "difficult " estates Eastmoor. It was a co-ordinated project with the Police and we were warned never to go down one particular road. The fact that they called it " the Bronx", told its own story. Incidentally, whilst applauding the parents action in taking the lad back to the store to apologise, it begs the question, in using the language that he does, what chance does the kid stand of ever turning out to be a respectful member of society.? As Cloughie used to say about hooligans, it's in the home where the problem starts, as kids learn by the examples set by their parents.
I'm pretty sure all parents have sworn when really angry. To me it sounded like he was absolutely disgusted by his son and that word just slipped out because of the utter shame he felt.
It seems there's plenty of adults out there mirroring that young lads behaviour . Nurses being advised to travel to work in plain clothes . Disgusting .
