I can honestly say I've never enjoyed an away game because harping back I was always out of my tree.

Anfield in 2008 I was hammered, missed both goals asking a female steward, " if we win can I buy you a curry. I'm busting for a **** can you have it for me love? Scared if I go we'll lose".

I didn't **** myself or have that curry.

Worst of a bad bunch Wembley 2008. Never felt numbness like it live at a football match.

Agree with most of the great times but worst must be when we lost 2 0 at home to Norwich to get relegated a few years back.
    Now that was a whimper.

    Best
Hull away in 1981 i think. Night game. We won. Constant noise.
Millwall in the play off final.
But probably, on balance, the best was Wigan away to get in the play offs.
    Worst....where to start!
I'll throw in one many people seemed to love. West Brom away last day of the season when they had Kevin Phillips and went up and we'd survived the game before. Fans singing "we don't give a f**k cos we're staying up" as we got smashed 7-0. I just found it pathetic and humiliating. Was so angry that day.

Best has to be Huddersfield last game of season in 2013, crazy times they were.
Worst has to be either this season against Preston away, you could feel the atmosphere it was that bad or the other one could be few years back we lost 5-2 at Blackburn, **** poor performance and their moronic fans made it worse, barely got a cheer for our 2nd goal.

I stood up on my seat when the players came over after that one and started jumping up and down (I was only 10) - the seat flipped up and I dropped down the back of it and fractured my ankle.

Genuinely went home with tears that day, one of the most lacklustre efforts i'd ever seen from a Reds team...nearly stopped going but football has the ability to raise you back up, like promotion in Cardiff against Swansea….

Honourable mention for Ipswich at Wembley, yes we lost but the interaction with their fans was something else.
best....anytime we won at elland road, swillsbro or bramble lane... been lucky enough to witness a few occasions.

That night at Elland Road in 1990 was special. Beating Man City at Maine Road was when I really thought we were on to something in the promotion year. Special mention for Liverpool away, league and cup. Other great days out, Birmingham play offs, Sheffield Utd when we went top of the league, Palace away promotion season and prem, Wigan to make the play offs and the 5-0 win at Wolves.

Away trips that were pretty dire, Blackburn when we lost 5-0 and West Brom 7-0. Worst for me was Millwall 1987, got beat 4-1 and spent most of the day wondering if we were going to get home in one piece.

December 26th 1999. We were late arriving at Blundell Park and left the car on a side street.
We wiped the floor with Grimsby 3-0 with Higgy playing a blinder.
We waited to see the team leave on their coach and followed them back to the motorway.
As we pulled away from the ground bits of wood, masonry, stones and other missiles were
thrown at the team bus. Very frightening and how anyone wasn't injured was a miracle.
