I'm starting to think he's had some kind of psychotic episode overnight.

As of today, the USA death toll stands at just under 29,000.

There are many flights landing at Heathrow every day from all parts of the US and at least 2 a day from China. Truly absurd behaviour from our government because we don't put them into quarantine. I have family in New Zealand, they have had a zero tolerance policy from the beginning. Also, when people go out in the future, they will have to sign in and leave details, this is case they can be traced if someone becomes ill,who has visited that location.
Our governments handling of this Pandemic has been incompetent and potentially criminal.

I’ve realised that Trump’s plan is to tell governors what to do. Then when they do exactly what he asked, berate the Democrat governors for doing that, praise the republicans for doing it.

I’m sure if a Democrat governor responds to trumps criticism he’ll berate them for not following his original advice.

The most batshit insane thing is that it’s actually fuckîng working. It’s absolute insanity.

Interersting response here, actually not, a bit of dog whistle politics (that's not a left wing perogative surely). I dont defend trump (his treatment of john mccain was a disgrage) but where is the counter balance ?
You lot waste no time in jumping on trump, look at the chinese. A virus they incubated wipes out the western economies, laid the defences bare and up steps china, sailing aircraft carriers off coast of taiwan, making a land grap, suits them doesnt it? You silly tossers ripping apart the leades of the western world???? hold your self pious thoughts, the chinese are coming, you have zero rights in their world, welcome to it

    Nobody has defended China.

Trump‘s ego has cost thousands of lives and will continue to do so both in his own country and around the world.

That’s something that cannot be ignored. This thread is about Trump, not China. If you want to discuss China, I suggest you start a new thread and outline your views and facts, I’m sure many will agree with you.

    Correct.
Nobody thinks China are angels. Or Russia. Far from it. They're both a massive threat to freedom and democracy.
I'm fed up of the whataboutery that people cone out with.
The best defence against China and Russia is a just and inspirational leader of the strongest "democratic" power in the world. America is so far from having that it's unreal. He's just as big a gangster as Putin and Xi. He just can't get away with it to the same extent. Yet.

    Understatement of the year alert.

That's a long wait for a train don't come; at the moment the best we can hope for in the west are strong leaders who will stand up meaningfully to the likes of China/Russia. It's just a guess but would you prefer a 'democrat' in the White House? God help us all, though on the plus side it seems you'll have to wait at least another four years before those loons get another chance.

    It's hard not to laugh.

In fairness they're only parroting the talking points/narratives they've seen in their various left wing news sources of choice. Not an original thought between them.

Do you think Trump is a better president than Obama, for example?

If so, can you please explain why? I’m genuinely curious if there’s a reason that I’ve missed. I’ve tried but I genuinely can’t see a single redeeming feature in Trump. That’s not a right vs left wing debate, but in him as a person, I genuinely don’t know if a single person is less qualified and less capable to run what is supposed to be the most powerful country on earth.

Where do you like to visit? We’re thinking of a west coast road trip in the next few years.

We’re also thinking about doing that. Not realising how expensive San Francisco is we were looking at doing a full holiday there but realised within about two seconds that that’s not going to happen. I kind of want to see Las Vegas although I think I would hate it in reality (except for the shows) so I would only want to make a short pit stop. We’ve been to Florida a few times which I absolutely love and is the the place I feel most safe on holiday (which is hilarious as you always hear ‘Florida man...’ etc. stories but that’s just because all there cases are open to the public). New York is just far too rude for me, couldn’t bear the general public. I know it’s just a different upbringing and they’re not trying to be rude but I didn’t like it.

I might do the same. I'm thinking Fleetwood, Blackpool, Lytham St Annes, Southport.
