    36,000 signed up to work on land, 16% have gone through to nexr stage of recruitment. and 112 have signed contracts according to Countryfile yesterday.

    They presumably wouldn't be much good at picking fruit then.

    That's half serious: you'd need a lot of people working reluctantly and without any previous experience to get through the same amount of work as a bunch of expert Romanians.

    So people are expected to work backbreaking 12 hour shifts in poor working conditions for the National Minimum Wage. They will be accommodated in caravans pulled out of service by the Holiday camps because they were unfit for use and charged top wack. They will most likely have to pay for any hand tools such as knives they may need and pay their own travel costs to get to the Farms. I'm sure there will be a rush.

    But that is what the Eastern European workers do though, isn't it?

    Good job we have now left the EU and they can't come over anymore eh? LOTS more jobs for our lads and lasses!

    Personally I would put the entire UKIP membership onto picking cold, hard vegetables, after all, they've got form for this
