You know the drill by now. I fully intend to spend a long time talking about THAT debut which probably eclipses Nardiello/Hignett. He was our #1 for six years, other than the spell when Muller was with us, and played over 200 games.
After your Reds v Liverpool debut did you have other offers from clubs before you signed for us permanent ?
Flitcroft described him as too old and then brought in his buddy who was in his 40s to replace him? What's his thoughts?
Bit of a random one but as a goalkeeper did he get any say in which colour shirt he would wear for each game? He seemed to alternate between about 5 different kits throughout the season and I've always wondered why that is as it seems quite random? I know that's not the most interesting question for the live stream but if there's any chance of you asking him it before hand maybe?
Can him, O’Brien and Preedy do the other two episodes of Come Dine With Me when lockdown ends please? I’ve never watched the actual show but their take on it was brilliant.
Would you have come back to Oakwell if offered the chance. My opinion during all this upheaval. (When it was obvious Davies wouldn’t sign a new contract. And you appeared to be second choice at Forest and Bristol.) was It would have been great to have you back. And I’m sure the fans would have had you back. Not having to worry about the goalkeeping position. Collins does appear to be improving all the time and I’m sure will become a fan’s favourite.
How did it feel relegating your home-town club, particularly in the way that it happened? Does it ever get commented upon when you go back to Peterborough?
Did he learn much from Muller? And I second that question about being too old under Flicker - strange situation that one!
Luke is quoted as saying that when he finishing playing he doesn't see his future in football and he intends to devote his time to his " Youth Dream project" Can he tell us a bit more about that please.? Given that when he was at Manchester United, he was competing with the likes of Roy Carroll, Edwin Van der Sar, Ben Foster and Tom Heaton for a start as goalkeeper, how much of a relief was it to get out on loan and be the No 1 at any particular Club.? After four years at Old Trafford, how long did it take him to adjust when he left.?
In his debut he touched a Liverpool effort onto the crossbar then caught the rebound. He then turned and kissed the post. Did he try to catch it and miss judge it and was grateful it didn’t go in?
His thoughts on Reading away? Not every game you save two penalties and we'd started that season poorly.
Didn't the FA fine him for wearing a sponsors top with their name prominent above the neck line of his Barnsley keepers jersey.? From memory, he was repeatedly warned and chose to ignore their request and in the end, the FA imposed a fine.
He was fined because his under armour logo was visible. I seem to remember keepers at bigger clubs wore the same shirt and nothing was said
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/b/barnsley/7498009.stm Steele fined for kit rule breach Steele (right) played a key role in Barnsley's FA Cup run Barnsley goalkeeper Luke Steele has been fined £1,000 by the Football Association for breaking playing shirt advertising logo regulations. Steele was charged with two counts of breaking the rule in matches against Leicester and Hull last season. The 23-year-old shot stopper has now been warned as to his future conduct. Steele initially joined Barnsley on loan from West Brom in February and completed a permanent switch to Oakwell in May.
I have often wondered why keepers wear brightly coloured shirts as an advancing opponent can see where they are in their peripheral vision . Stick to Grass Green .
