Their portfolio when they still had Nice seemed a lot more appealing.

A collection of teams at the bottom of their respective leagues. Further highlighting football results are of secondary importance to this lot.

I see a lot of people having that take. But any club that is available for purchase must have some underlying issue somewhere. The successful well run ones aren't for sale? Also, if you see a badly run business and think you can turn it around, current results and position are irrelevant to the long term plan of where you think you can take them.

the successful ones are for sale but are more expensive! We weren’t badly run before this lot came, we maybe were guilty of drifting along however which was an opportunity

we arguably outperformed our budget under PC as the football landscape changed around us. As far back as the 80’s and 90’s we were equals in division 1 / now the championship, I don’t think that’s the case anymore and hasn’t been for 15 years now. the point of that is, is the long term plan achievable under this model? Success and sustainability in the championship surely is the long term plan for us as fans, Brentford as an example have achieved that using a similar model, can we?

We weren't badly run but we had an owner who was actively wanting to sell.

Would we be more positive about buying a team 4th or 5th in the division below? Surely these relegated teams start as favourites to go back up stronger than before next season?

we possibly would be, glass half full so 5th in league 1 beats bottom of the championship any day!

I should like what these owners do because it’s nice to win games, I don’t think I’m actually bothered what league that’s in, just like them

They said we appealed to them because we were well run.

Forward a couple of years and they want to own a debt ridden business.

We have low debt yes, but our expenses are fairly high regarding wages etc, so we weren’t a risk-free venture at all

They’re after buying enough clubs to start their own league, no promotion or relegation, sorted.
