"The HSJ understands that up to 50,000 of the tests that will be reported as having taken place on 30 April will actually represent the mailing of, or the agreeing to the mailing of, a home testing kit"

    Aye

And about 50,000 of them are basically the government saying it's in the post.

    Just that.

Oooh sorry, you don't like threads turning political do you.

Is that how many times Matt Hancock tested himself to get the numbers up?

That is brilliant. Who’d have thought it, eh? A claim to do something by the end of the month magically occurs right on the final day of the month. We went from 18,000 tests a day just a few days ago, right up to over 100,000. Extraordinary. Bravo. I think it’s the Boris effect. He’s only been back a few days and boom, getting things done. As well as boosting the nation’s subjects with his sheer presence. We are over the peak as well, just as he reappeared. And he had another child. Out of wedlock. A true hero. Like Churchill or something. Everything is just so good.

Inject this fantasy world into my bloodstream.

Trump is ace as well. In fact, all the bad guys who do bad things, they are great now.

    Baaaaaah.

There might have been 122,347 tests, but the missing statistic is that 73,191 PEOPLE have been tested

When I order a pizza, I count that as already having been eaten — that's the way it works, right?

And if you take WW2 out of the equation, Churchill was no great shakes. If he’d had his way he’d have had striking miners shot. There’s something for Johnson to aspire to !

Serious question....if 73000 individuals are tested but there have been 120000 tests does that mean people are getting tested multiple in the same day and if so why ? I can imagine some front line staff getting multiple tests, for instance, if they start feeling ill or feel they have been inadvertently exposed but not in such numbers and it is a daily occurrence.

There's lies, damn lies and anything said by this government.

70-odd thousand PEOPLE ACTUALLY TESTED. Oh and 50-odd thousand test kits going in the post. Eventually. Probably.

Oh and you can bet your house that the ones posted out will be counted again when they're returned.

Churchill got to be PM partially because he botched operations in Norway, which was one of the reasons leading to the resignation of Chamberlain and the formation of the coalition government.
