I think they are to don't they? I paid for 23 games in THIS season. As clubs are refusing to complete this season they have to refund.
If the owners hadn't sold us out at the start of the season I wouldnt be bothered with mine they could keep it and put it to the accademy or do whatever but because of how they have handled things since they have took over think I would have mine back. If it was still patrick in charge no way would I take the refund.
It’s all opinions and personal preference but I’d 100% not, A) accept it or B) even ask for it!!! Irrespective or owners why would you want to potentially help cause a financial issue for YOUR club? Each to there own I suppose
70 odd quid (five games at nearly 15 quid each) will be a lot to many people in these challenging times. I suspect they will add the refund of this season onto the cost of next (if we can go) so we don't actually feel like we've had a refund.
Not bothered. Cricket season was about to start and I'd already chalked **** on it after the Cardiff (non) performance.
No but I'd take the £60 they owe me. Paul Conway and his other billionaire owners have treated me (and you) with utter contempt this season. I do not owe them a single thing. They can give me my money back and put their own money into THEIR business like everyone else has to when they default on a contract. If they wanted me to be a loyal company to Barnsley FC then they should have treated me as one. Instead they treated me as a customer of Barnsley stocks and shares company ltd and as such thats how I will act. If this was Barnsley FC, the real barnsley FC I wouldn't mind but it isn't. It's nothing but a way for supposed billionaire venture capitalists to make money and I'm sorry but they won't do so by beingbbeing given a £60 handout by someone on minimum wage
Perhaps, giving refunds upon request is the way forward. I would be fortunate enough to be able to make a decision to not request mine if I thought it would help the club financially. I do acknowledge and understand why many either won’t be able to and/or won’t want to decline any such request.
The thing is though you have to remember this is you a normal man donating money to billionaires. If Paul conway handed back a few weeks of the salary hes taken from us it would fund all the refunds. Really it shouldn't even be up for debate. If billionaires have even the slightest desire for the people of barnsley to donate money to them then they will be showing themselves what they are once and for all.
Personally I wouldnt chase a refund. If offered fair enough. I'm not about to short change my club for something they had no control over. Irrespective if the owners have billions
I hear what you, and no doubt many are saying and I’m not in total disagreement. However, the club tugs at my heartstrings and I would hate to see it hit the rocks. My ST was paid for more than a year ago and fortunately I’m in a position not to have to request a refund for any remaining games.
