Two options: 1). Cummings knows where the bodies are buried and knows enough dirt to bring down the government 2). Money - Cummings has been involved in government assets & contracts being passed to third party companies (Palantir is one, the NHS app is another), without going through the usual tender process.
If Mr Corbyn had driven to Durham with a sick wife and young child to then do another 60 mile round trip the Tory press machine would literally have accused him off attempted murder.....and guess who would be writing the slogan... Come on Mr Starmmer they have handed you a toss a grenade for free card...but at present i'm not seeing/ hearing the Labour front bench....why ?. You should be all over TV..
Everyone always misses out the ‘driving to the hospital to pick up his wife and child whilst he was symptomatic’. If any of this crap is true, that’s the worst bit for me. At least all the others have tiny bits of things that he can pretend excuses them away (he was scared for his child at first and not thinking properly; when he went on the trip for his wife’s birthday he was out of quarantine) but that bit of the story was one time when his family could have genuinely helped (the reason he went there apparently) and he never asked them to pick them up instead as he by law had to stay at home. And yet no one mentions it.
I’ve just seen Gove on the BBC defending Cummings and singing his praises,,,,,,,,,,, NOW THAT’S A LIAR FOR YOU!! Say hello to your next Prime Minister
Starmer has been disappointing so far. Either that or he's got the same media issues that many who opposed his predecessor claimed were rubbish.
Re Starmer, he's got this right. I think it was Napleon who said. "Do not interrupt your enemy when he is making his own mistakes." Keep your powder dry until Wednesday.
And so it begins. The sleekit Dougie Ross has resigned. Must have taken some effort for this scum bag to grow a backbone but well done to him for it.
There are 1 or 2 posters on here that I have had issues with in the past weeks, but have seen them post similar in other threads. the questions that I want to hear from press now, instead of more days and days of Cummingsgate are, how will the government deal with:- The COVID-19 situation Reopening business Long term NHS Education Policing Trade deals Economy Environment Defence Etc while ever the press continue to dissect one mans trip the less we hear about what matters to us all. Issues that will affect all our lives and decisions when next elections come around. I think Cummings scored an own goal, but knowing which lay-by he parked in for his son to have a p**s in the woods won’t affect how I vote next.
Yeah there was no reason for Starmer to jump in this weekend - they've hung themselves without Labour even getting involved! Wouldn't be surprised to see Labour step in this week though.
The thing that really made me itch about yesterday's presser. "I have to make decisions every day that I don't bother worrying the prime minister about" I'm just glad we got out of the EU and 'unelected' Bureaucrats.
And would have the grenade thrown straight back into his lap. 'Thank you for your comments regarding Mr Cummings they are duely noted. Can the honorable leader of the opposition confirm he will be asking the three MPs whos lockdown trangressions were publicly noted to also resign regardless of apology' Or something along those lines
Good on him, after listening to Gove defending the indefensible this morning surely more will follow?! Doubt it!
