Some on here will no doubt be happy but due to several threats of violence I will be logging out of here, and not coming back. Before you celebrate too much though, you haven’t won. I have my opinions and have as much right as anyone, however my decision is that I don’t want to associate with some of the posters on here. The ones that are so blinkered that they won’t accept anything other than their small minded view of anything in the world. I enjoyed reading posts from most of members, but a handful who appear to rally round each other regardless totally spoil this experience. The few I talk about are no better than the blonde girl involved in the mugging of the bloke in the arcade. They taunt, name call and spit on anyone that doesn’t follow their slant. So goodbye, but regardless of my personal thoughts, I wish everyone on here the best of health, stay safe
I dont agree with some of your views and never will - its a bit of a minor irony that you are accusing people of not accepting alternative views and giving it as a reason to leave but there you are That said you have as much right to put your blinkered views on here as I have to put my blinkered version so feel free to come back if you change your mind
Would be nice for you to return when you are happy to debate your points rather than disappear when questions are asked. Perhaps you will not receive the same reception if you do that
I've seen you pop up in lots of threads recently defending the government from all angles, despite the absolute sh1tshow they've made of things in this Pandemic. When you try and defend the indefensible you're going to attract attention and anger. If you're unable to accept and take that then you're probably better off elsewhere.
It always amuses me this. Instead of just not posting or reading a forum, people like to make an announcement that they're leaving.
There's something about those on the right of the political specturm who when losing an argument resort to victimisation as a reason they are stopping posting. Yet they have no issue in telling those less fortunate than themselves to "pull themselves up by their bootstraps, stop complaining, go find a job" etc.
So he's called folk on here knuckle draggers & morons & now he's comparing us to a low life, if he's going to dish it out he's got to be prepared to take it. He doesn't follow some of our slant on here but ha ho that's his choice, I don't think we're going to get the arse on over it.
At the end of the day. There are a few posters that meet up at games and have a pint and a natter. However, I see other posters as faceless individuals that I'm probably never going to meet. I do admit there are posts that do get to me at times. I either give as good as I get or don't post for a few hours. You have to take the rough with the smooth. Neil posted something similar regarding politics the other week. I also replied along the same lines then too.
I can understand him getting pissed off at the way certain posters rally round each other when a non leftie posts anything in support of that which is considered right wing. But I do think that if you’re going to express an opposing opinion you should be able to support it with a reasoned argument. Unfortunately the less articulate resort to getting upset and posting insults which can be discouraging. I don’t think that you should stop posting but when before you do just be mindful that you’ll probably get some playground stuff in return and be prepared to explain why you have the opinion you’ve posted. Hate to see folk leave a forum for receiving flak, reconsider.
