If the op wants to have a dig at this forum and it's members when leaving it becomes open season for digs back... At the minute I'm not in agreement with TN but I'm not about to throw the baby out with the bath water... If like the op you stick your head above the parapet and say something controversial... Then you can expect to be in the firing line... You either fight or run and on more than one occasion the said poster, as done more running than defending their post when presented with an opinion and facts different to theirs
So now he's took his bat and ball home because he can't handle the flack he's got... Just my opinion of events

I’m fuming at this, I found myself a black friend so I can’t be called racist, I’ve got mates who vote for different parties so I’ve no political agenda and I’m mates with Whitey which proves I’m not homophobic...and now this., I’m major flouncing and I’m taking my squirrel porn with me.

 

I have wished the bloke well, and, I’ve never had a cross word with him. But I have read some of his posts, and the responses garnered, and it didn’t come over as ‘leftie’ posters attacking a right wing poster. It appeared more like far right nonsense, which was of course confronted. The attitude of this government and of its defenders online needs to be called out for what it is. It’s become very, very North Korean in fact. Or, what we are told North Korea is like.

 

I don't disagree with that and to be fair I can't comment as I haven't read the OPs previous posts. The board seems to have been dominated by political posts of late (which I understand as there's been little football related stuff to discuss) but I'm ignoring the vast majority of them as I don't come on here for a political debate.

I still think some of the comments are churlish though. A few weeks ago #bekind was trending following Caroline Flack's suicide and particularly in these times when lots of people seem to be struggling I think it'd be good to hold back on the insults. The same applies to the OP if he did the same of course.....

Nobody should feel threatened or bullied because of their opinion, in saying that if you have an opinion and express it don't be surprised if someone disagrees and expresses their own opinion. but at no point should either of those opinions attract personal abuse or threats......I have posted on many threads on here and do like the odd one liner, I also accept
that others may not share my sense of humour...My biggest slagging was when I said Corbyn was unelectable and with the ferocity of some responses I quickly realised I was up against a group who knew each other off post. Can't say I've ever seen any threats of violence on here but have seen discussions that could have deteriorated if we were all in the pub. remember..... if we all had the same opinion this site would be pointless
