Whilst I don’t often agree with you, I do on this topic. America on the surface looks fine, however scratch the surface and you’ll find one of the most racist countries on the planet. Whilst there will be a proportion of racist police officers in the states, the real racism is much earlier. The one where minorities are not afforded the same opportunities as the white population. Thereby putting them into extreme poverty and more likely to commit crimes. As we know, many crimes in the US have to involve guns, so often people get shot. So this in turn leads to more violent confrontations with the police force. If I waved a gun at a US cop, I’d expect not to survive the encounter. The case in the US currently did not involve guns. But did involve a quite probable racist and definitely a murderer.
More likely it's right wing groups - they are responsible for more acts of terrorism in the US than any others. But yeah, blame the anti fascists for what fascists have caused.
Another issue to take into account is in effect the prison system which in effect has become big business since Bill Clinton's 1994 crime bill ( I posted a link earlier ) . Any one aware of Kamala Harris s refusal to release prisoners ? https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/...hat-california-could-use-them-for-cheap-labor Kamala Harris just like Michael Bloomberg ran in the democratic primary but yet has done nothing for for minorities apart from use and abuse them . Of course there's nothing in the liberal media about this but if trump did it folk would go bananas over it . The real tragedy is a poor black man is worth very little to the corporations , but lock him up and suddenly he generates 50$ 60$ k worth of revenue to the prison complex plus can be put to work making McDonald's uniforms for a couple of cents an hour . Not only is their an underlying level of racism in America but that racism is cross party and also ingrained in the giant corporations that pretty much run America . I'll say it again till I'm blue in the face , trump is not the cause of America's problems but merely a symptom . After 25 years of Clinton , bush and Obama it was inevitable someone like trump would get in .
Looking at last nights pics it looks like for a lot of them it’s now settled down into an excuse for a ruck and the chance to upgrade tellies, washers etc
I’d just rather not see thousands of people gathered together like that tbh. Although if it does go tits up, suppose somebody in a caring profession will put themselves out there to try to sort them out!
How does she treat the white prisoners? Is it common for a black woman to be racist against black people?
Don't have time for a long reply right now, but you're part right. Their economic circumstances are a major contributing factor, just as crime is for any colour of skin. That said America is a deeply racist country with many racist police who love nothing better than an excuse to deal out 'justice'. So it's a two front problem, where as your 'regular poor white guy' doesn't have the ghost of slavery hanging over their every move.
Kamala Harris has a litany of out of control behaviour against poor people . https://www.vox.com/future-perfect/2019/2/7/18202084/kamala-harris-truancy-prosecutor-president-2020 The list goes on and on . She could nt care less for race . As for the policy above , guess what demographic this policy affected the most ? Like I say she ran in the democratic primary as a " good un " to fight trump . You really could nt make it up sometimes .
I said i wasnt going to engage with you on this but i'd like to ask you a simple question. Either answer Democrat or Republican one word answer please or dont bother replying. Who do you want to win the next US Presidential, Congessional and senatorial elections? One word answer. I'll give you mine. Democrat.
While there is some evidence that this may be a contributory factor it is also true that some black people are just bad people with criminal intent, just like it is true that some white people are bad people with criminal intent. Arrests, by Race and Ethnicity, 2017 In 2017, 68.9 percent of all individuals arrested were White, 27.2 percent were Black or African American, and 3.9 percent were of other races. Of arrestees for whom ethnicity was reported, 18.1 percent were Hispanic or Latino. Of all juveniles (persons under the age of 18) arrested in 2017, 61.6 percent were White, 34.9 percent were Black or African American, and 3.5 percent were of other races. Of juvenile arrestees for whom ethnicity was reported, 21.8 percent were Hispanic or Latino. Of all adults arrested in 2017, 69.5 percent were White, 26.6 percent were Black or African American, and 3.9 percent were of other races. Of adult arrestees for whom ethnicity was reported, 17.8 were Hispanic or Latino. White individuals were arrested more often for violent crimes than individuals of any other race and accounted for 58.5 percent of those arrests. Of adults arrested for murder, 52.5 percent were Black or African American, 44.8 percent were White, and 2.8 percent were of other races. Black or African American juveniles comprised 50.9 percent of all juveniles arrested for violent crimes. White juveniles accounted for 56.2 percent of all juveniles arrested for property crimes. Of juveniles arrested for drug abuse violations, 74.3 percent were White. White juveniles comprised 54.2 percent of juveniles arrested for aggravated assault and 57.4 percent of juveniles arrested for larceny-theft.
Bernie Sanders. Wait, they voted for a senile old **** with a history of sexual harassment, whose going to get rolled over by Trump. But yeah, they should probably vote for him as much as it pains me to say it because he's ******* disgusting.
Ask away . My answer is neither . I'd vote green party . I do know Chris hedges is running for them next election so that would do for me . Really like Chris , got sacked from the NYT for telling the truth about the Iraq war back in the day and has been commenting since on the corruption of the 2 party system ( and the prison system , he teaches life long prisoners to give them a chance to get an education ) .
I voted Green here last election and would consider it if i was still in the UK if the candidate was viable to win a seat. In the US at the moment though it's pretty much a wasted vote in my opinion.
