Slightly unrelated but if Dominic Cummings is actually employed as opposed to being self employed. Why didn't his employer know he had gone to Durham instead of attending work?

that bit in his presser where he was lying and said he’d had a conversation with Johnson but neither of them could remember what was said or when they had the conversation..... That bit.

Yes but even when he was lying he said that conversation took place AFTER he returned from two weeks in Durham.
He even said he hadn't contacted anyone before making the journey.
So an employee drove 260 miles away from his place of work with no intention of going to work and didn't think to tell his employer. That would be gross misconduct in some places

He also went into work after his wife started displaying covid symptoms. Another breach of the guidance.

It’s not really complicated is it?
I didn’t think he was employed by the government and certainly didn’t think he was doing it free so that only left self employed.
Unless there is another way to be employed that I missed?

As you are such an expert in my thought process, perhaps you would like to go further and explain why I would want to obfuscate?
Perhaps you would also like to explain why your thought process is to pick up on the one perceived (Yours not mine)negative towards Duffield?

As a poster once put on here Jeesus H Christ!!

One is an MP, One is a self employed individual.

I’m not the only one who read that sentence as you suggesting that one has an important role and the other is just some random member of the public.

if it’s not what you meant; maybe your language could have been clearer. Here’s a factual description (all facts you knew) that make it clear...

One was a Labour whip; the other is the Prime Ministers most senior advisor.

See that’s what I find quite laughable about your response.
You want to highlight DC role because it suits your agenda yet when I put he was self employed(which he is) you feel it’s inappropriate because in your opinion I down played his role.

And in turn you felt the need to highlight the WAS and IS to try and make a point.

Just on that point if you read the post properly you will see that I put she apologised etc and he had not.

It appears to me that you read the first line and the red mist descended thinking it was an attack on a Labour MP.

You can wobble all you like; I’m not the only one who concluded an inference.

you can say that’s not what you meant, but attacking people who pointed it out won’t change it :)

No wobbling here mate, I’ve just pointed out the irony of the way you pointed something out by using the same tactic.
If you feel that’s being attacked ..........

No-one has mentioned Stephen Kinnock going to his parents in wales for a party, or the gob that represents the SNP in Westminster, who drove to Skye a distance of 620 miles because he found London 'riddled with COVID'.

The SNP MP, who returned to his first home when Parliament closed and then isolated himself away from his family - how else was he supposed to return home?

How about Jenrick, who visited his parents, his second home (and IIRC his third home) with nothing happening a couple of weeks before approving a very lucrative dodgy planning application
Or Gibson, who although ill with suspected COVID caught the *train* back from London to Darlington

I don't know if you saw the rule change yesterday, but it is currently illegal to meet 2 (or more) people who you don't live with - including for sex
However, you can have said sex outside as long as you don't offend public decency
But it is legal if you pay them for sex at your place

It's never been allowed (since lockdown) for someone to go into someone else's house though so I don't know why people are making it into a big thing now.

The thing is though, we have. I'll say it again - everyone in a position of responsibility should be held accountable if they break lockdown. Whether it's Labour, Tory or Screaming Lord Sutch.

Labour supporters have criticised Labour MPs - but I'm yet to see a single Conservative voter on here say that Cummings has to go.

Remember when Cavare headbutted the bloke from Fulham 2 years ago. It was so stupid. Yet we all held our hands up and said "he's got to go". We didn't defend him blindly because he was "our" player.

    It's just so, so weird.

You can’t have sex with someone you don’t live with. Unless you know a way of having sex from 2 metres away from any part of your body.
