Contacting Ex Players

I wondered if anyone might be able to help me. I have a very poorly 10 year old nephew and he is in for some major surgery and treatment. He is a Leeds fan as is everyone in the family apart from me which is fun, He is been really brave about it and in honesty a bit of an inspiration.. We are trying to get video messages for him from sports people as that is his life. We have already got some pretty big ones like Kevin Sinfield and Michael Vaughan. I woud love to get some for him connected to Barnsley and wondered if anyone might know people and be ale to get an email to anyone that is relevent. Keeping the fact that he is a Leeds fan and is 10 there are a few obvious ones. Ben on here is kindly trying to help get Redders for me, but Mick McCarthy or Hecky would be good and of course John Stones would be a beauty.

It would also be great to get a group one from a few players at Barnsley as a good luck from BFC. Maybe Alex, Aapo and Clarke. I know this is a big ask and in many ways unlikely but it would make such a differnece so worth asking.

Already spoken to him and he was very helpful and is trying to help but it's tricky, I have emailed the club but have not heard back as yet, I am sure they have other priorities at the moment. After telling all my Leeds supporting family what a great club we are it would be a shame if I couldnt back it up

Yep it's the same Wayne. He runs the Reds in the Community programme (tel 01226 211333). A couple of guys involve in the heritage project two years ago interviewed a few ex-Reds including Macca, Ronnie Glavin, Bruce Dyer, Higgie and others, so maybe you can get their phone numbers.

 

Wayne was very nice over email and said he would put my request on to the right person the club. Not heard from them though

 

PM me your email address and I’ll get a few of the lads to do a video message. Wayne did pass on your message, I also saw it here previously but I’m the busiest I’ve ever been in my life right now, for various reasons. I’ll do my best though regards our current players.
