Was about to give this a like, to show my agreement, then realised I don't 'like' it at all!

No deductions as Covid renders finance exceptional for this season, could see that being a thing, definitely.

Charlton have had 3 owners in a year, about to get their 4th. No wonder they haven't submitted any accounts......no bugger knows what's going on!

Millwall is an American called Berylson, been there quite a while and appears to be putting in region of upto £8 million a year into it. Interestingly they have just submitted plans to spend Millions on developing the area and ground that is part of a £2 Billion redevelopment (That sounds a lot but is by a different company). Interestingly like us the Council own the land and have been threatening to evict them for years over various things which has been recently resolved.

I'd like it to be Hull but I have a feeling that it is Birmingham.

Covid no excuse whatsoever. All clubs have suffered the same but not all will go into admin. To fail to punish those who do will punish those who don't.

Don't think it'll be Reading (yet) - the Blunts are ready to pay them £3.5m for John Swift.

    Birmingham'd be my uneducated guess.

Wouldn't surprise me at all given the trwco record of the EFL on these matters.

If brum can hang on untill the season ends they will get about 25 million for Bellingham or whatever his name is.

Yeah true but then again if Bellingham's suitors know for definite that Birmingham are going bust they could hang on and get him from the administrator for much less. Depends how far gone they are, if it is them. (I do hope it's Wednesday).

Stoke have a squad full of players on high wages. They get the parachute payment regardless who owns the club. Go into admin, reduce the wage bill because players become creditors paid back so many pence in the pound. Take the hit with relegation and come back stronger.

It shows how poorly the EFL have applied any governance to how clubs are run, that we have so many options to guess at who could be the next the club to go into administration.

It could probably be any club in the division

just depends which owner has decided he’s had enough of propping up the debts and losses

That's a interesting point, some owners may be seeing other businesses they own struggle massively and simply have had enough of the football debts.

If the situation continues, on a long enough time line every club will enter administration. Income has been decimated but expenditure remains the same.

We'll be one of the first. Not because we overspent. That isn't the major factor anymore. Every single club has now overspent because they all budgeted for their fan base continuing to attend. You cannot budget for a global pandemic. The major factor is now which owners will meet the shortfall with their own money.

that would explain a lot about their recent performances! But given their league position that would explain a lot.
Regarding other comments I don’t think Covid would wash as an excuse for admin, it’s hit everybody equally, the prudent seem to be keeping their heads above the water, the others not so much.
If the EFL went down that route they would need a lot of lawyers!
