So if you had the choice of selecting some transfer targets for next season. Who would you like to see brought in?

Disregard the spreadsheet method employed by the club, that discussion has been done to death.

This is more of a.. I wish the club would modify their strategy and bring in these players..

I'm thinking we need another CB, CF, Central Midfielder.. Rather than going for quantity, push the boat out on limited incomings to form the spine. Be flexible with age but they need to be able to play at a high intensity for the 90 mins otherwise they won't fit the style of play we are supposedly focusing on. These players should be brought in not with the intention of developing individual value, but more to bring the other players on with their quality. Their added value is about team performance and progression..

But we need to be REALISTIC in the suggestions. Plus it may depend what league we find ourselves in.

I'm struggling a bit especially on the forward option..But we need a more physical option, we are certainly lacking in that respect. Maybe Sam Cosgrove from Aberdeen but could be out of our reach if relegated.

But I wouldn't mind Morsey back in the middle. Solid player IMO. Will be fine for another couple of years at both champ/L1 level.

CB.. I said realistic and this may be really pushing the ticket somewhat but.

CB.. Harry Souttar, currently at Fleetwood. Still young so actually ticks the spreadsheet box but is probably upto standard. League 1 team of the season I expect. 6ft 6..

    Just suggestions..

Some cheap German French Austrian lads from the Sunday leagues. But it will be the best transfer window since the last one when Woodrow Mowatt and maybe a couple of others are sold to the first clubs that offer a bit of cash. Just ask Mr Conmerchantway.

" we need to be REALISTIC"........and then u reel of the likes of Souttar and Morsy, why on earth would they join us???
We'll announce kids from the Austrian 2nd Division or other minor European leagues on a par with the Conference North if we're lucky, and be told they're the targets we've been after for months, world beaters, up and coming, and reapeat.......

Supressed transfer market - I doubt there will be any ins or outs unless we firesale to cover the cost of no attendances. There hasn't been a worse season in history to get relegated.

There’s some right pessimists on this forum.

There’s plenty we could realistically look to sign for next season. For a start: Billy Dane, Hamish Balfour and Blackie Gray spring to mind. I think we might struggle to land that Roy Race lad but Korky the Cat is a definite.

I will keep banging on about Elliott Moore who's a 6ft 5 centre half who's only 23 years old. It will depend on Oxford not playing in a higher league than us next season mind. A regular in a successful season for them with 34 appearances and involved in 13 clean sheets including a run where they went five matches without letting a goal in, which included four away games in a row.

Will we be able to pick up other players from our league 1 rivals though? I have a feeling we will "make do and mend" next season if we're relegated.
With Walton, Wolfe, Palmer, Simoes and Styles though we have players used to playing with each other, could they be our Watson, Eaden, Moses, Jones, Morgan? We can hope, that's the best thing about football, you start each season feeling anything is possible

Bill Brewer, Jan Stewer, Peter Gurney, Peter Davy, Daniel Whiddon, Harry Hawke, Tom Cobley. All fair players.

I predict we’ll put in a record fee for someone with no intention whatsoever in getting them here. With a surname of something like Hotdog. And make cryptic videos of players training with Hotdogs in the background. To then sign an conference equivalent replacement for half a million.

Think Woodrow, Mowatt and possibly Brown could all be sold. We need to try to get rid of some deadwood too but that won’t be easy in current climate. Need a couple of strikers, preferably Winnall and another with a bit of physical presence. Also need two full backs and a couple of midfielders.
