Sorry, I should have said I have enjoyed bits of this season. We've pulled off some remarkable results which makes the abject failures against inferior opposition all the more galling. Still my one last shred of hope that I am hanging onto is that Barnsley often do better against better opposition. There's no logic to this happening year after year, in the same way there is no logic to always losing at QPR (until this year) or always losing at Hillsborough when we don't deserve to.

It's a recurring theme though, over the years, that most Barnsley teams perform well against the top sides while often struggling against those nearer the bottom.
Therefore I predict the next three fixtures will be Barnsley wins and we will somehow hang on to our place in this league. :)

He interviewed for the job last time out so I don't see that being an issue.

Would love him to be a successful manager here. Not sure he's the best fit with our current owners though.

Not sure he's the best fit with any owners of ours but definitely a dream scenario

You can't fault Struber's record though. I haven't particularly enjoyed the football but his results since taking over are impressive. Without the utterly horrendous start under Stendel and Murray we'd be comfortable in mid table...

He comes across as the ambitious type who would one day want to be in charge of a first team.

I think he would too and no reason why he couldn't be successful.

Overall to say we’re going down I’ve enjoyed it. Obviously a bit gutted but given the players we lost at the start of the season & the inexperienced players that replaced them I genuinely was worried we could have the kind of season Rotherham did a few years back so to come so close & for so many youngsters to get 20+ appearances in them bodes well for the future as long as League One is ok to start next season.

Should Struber do one then for me Only one man strong enough to promote from the back room staff calls it as he sees it...
Step forward and... Arise... sir Bobby knows the club from top to bottom won't take any cr*p from no one...
    He'd get my vote ❎

Listening to him co-commentate, I'm not sure he actually understands football.

This season has been awful. What makes it worse is how many people back in August knew what was coning. We knew we struggled in defence especially RB and LB and took half the season to improve the centre half pairing. Even now with a few games to go we don't have a settled side and It still looks like we are a young and inexperienced side who havent learnt much. Teams know how to play us. We lack quality, and we will get what we deserve.

Then the ground hog day starts all over. This time around with fewer saleable assets and finances in the balance i dont expect too much investment. I put my hand in my pocket and renwed the STs, not because I'm that interesting in watching Us go through all this but because i want to support our clubs survival and people in it. I wish the owners would also put their hand in their pockets but I expect nothing from them. Next season could be a difficult one.
