That tackle from styles when forest looked through... absolutely superb ...which led to our attack and goal
I’ll be honest I forgot about that after what followed. It really was brilliant though, what a baller!
I suggested a few weeks ago that regardless of the division we're in we build the team around Styles. He's a real prospect.
It was an incredible piece of defending as once they were bearing down on him, I was fearing the worst. My man of the match.
It really was. I was shouting at him to just take one for the team. I didn't care if he got sent off at that point, if Forest had've scored, or even if they didn't but neither did we, then our season was over anyway. As it turned out, he did a fantastic tackle that set up our goal.
I mentioned at the time to my wife that even Vikki Stevens had run onto the pitch. My wife joked "Yes, but Vikki's the physio, so she's entitled to!"
Was on the beach. Watching ont phone. Tackle of the season for me. When we scored. Think everyone within a mile heard me shout. Those close by laughing/smiling at mi. COYR.
First time I’ve seen that since yesterday live and it’s a STUNNING tackle. They were 2 on 1 and the game was lost but, for me, Callum cemented his place in that team for as long as we have him. And what a goal! He took a touch to make sure he had space and then expertly slammed it in. Patrick gets a lot more criticism than he deserves. His goals have been brilliant. He’s the new Bradshaw next season when/if Cauley goes
Mentioned at the time and later ....his energy is infectious and he wants to get on the ball all the time. Easily mom....his body language is excellent....love it when hes on it. If he carries on like this ...id build a team around him.....mind u they will want to sell him by xmas if he does!!
Apart from anything else the workrate is phenomenal. He punts a ball from midfield to the edge of their box then when it breaks down he races half the length of the pitch to track and dispossess the runner - then when the goal is being scored he's in the mix around their area.
Great piece of play, but doesn’t Grabban slip at the vital moment, allowing Styles to come away with the ball? Watched it again and again and can’t be sure.
I was really impressed with Chaplin's speed too. He wouldn't have got there in time but to say he'd been on the pitch 90 odd minutes, that was quite a sprint.
