To answer your hypothetical question as you cant guarantee anything - its still stay up - I think the club can kick on next season if we stay in the championship and aim for mid table. If we go down apart from the job losses we would sell all our experienced players and even if we came straight back we would be just where we were at the start of this season
Bolton didn't end up where they are now due to our approach, though. I think staying up and adding a bit of quality to the squad would serve us well.
We sell all our experienced players regardless of what position we’re in. Be it relegation, promotion, or on the verge of the playoffs, we’re always keen to cash in.
No brainier, stay up. League one will be a bugger to get out of , there are a lot of competitive teams down there, but that’s not to say I don’t think we could. But I really think we have learnt a lot now this year and the financial thing could be a big leveller up to mid table
Stay up for two reasons. 1. It's a sport and the whole objective is to finish as high up the league system as possible. 2. Choosing to be relegated just so that we can be promoted back to the same position twelve months later is nonsensical. What has been achieved? Nothing
I'll just have to go with my brother then; if they ever let me out of here (USA) and into there (UK). I hate not being able to travel and hang with family and friends.
