I thought about it and still think he's crap up top.

    Completely agree.

The fault lies with the manager. It's akin to playing a right footer at left back or sticking Woodrow in midfield.

    But he'd never do that.

If we go down then I would expect he has a really good season (if played in right position and continues to develop) and then we will sell home for £3m in 2021 whilst retaining a future interest in him

    exciting times

I despair. Brown is one of the few bright points of this season. Yes, his goals ratio isn't great, but aside from Woodrow and Chaplin, our goals for has been below par. But thats because so many of our players are being played before their time.

However, Brown has created plenty of assists and chances for others and never faltered with his effort. He's played in multiple positions in multiple formations under multiple coaches. He's shown some fantastic bits of quality at times. Last season, his goal at Peterborough was a fantastic piece of skill as an example.

He's young, like just about every other player and his form is likely to be patchy and inconsistent. If we're in League 1 next season, providing there is still cash in the Championship for transfer fees, Brown won't be here. Wasn't it Brentford who were supposedly showing interest in the January transfer window?

But then if people think Woodrow is ****, Brown must be too. And Mowatt. Chaplin as well....

Brown is very likely to be our player of the season. So he must be doing something right...

I hate to break it to you but Alex Mowatt swept up the player of the year awards on Sunday

Another misquoting ! nobody has said Woodrow is **** .
What posters have observed since the return isn’t that Woodrow is **** at all but his form for whatever reason isn’t there .

Jacob was strongly linked with a move to Brentford in the January window and I would guess that there was some truth in the rumour. If Brentford do get promotion, they may have set their sights on higher league players, but Brentford's scouting and spreadsheet system speaks for itself. They rate him. I do agree that striker is not his best position, but that wide midfielder, or right wing-back would be. His number of assists tells its own story and is the reason he is so highly rated, including the headed pass for Schimidt to score on Sunday. If we are offered reasonable money for him, I would let him go, because he can be replaced and we need to strengthen in other areas, especially striker. Marcus Forss to come us as part of the Brentford deal, please, if it happens.

I'm reconciled to losing Woodrow, Mowatt, Sollbauer, Chaplin, Bahre and Brown in the window if anything like a moderate bid comes in. They'll be desperate to cut the wage bill, maintain the illusion of successful transfer business and sign their next batch of eggs to incubate.

Yeah, strange one that isn't it? Most on here say, Browny's tosh at this, tosh at that. Then he's top of the BBS POTM stats.

He's at his best either wide right of a midfield 4, or inside right of a front 3. When we play the diamond, he can spend most of his time on the right if we play well, because that allows Woodrow to play further forward. It's if we're not playing well and Woodrow has to drop deeper, he finds himself up against opposition centre halves.

That can’t be accurate, I don’t believe there’s any chance Chaplin weighs more than Brown
