    Give points deduction. Relegate them.

And let them appeal. If they win they can be given suitable compensation.

    Simple

So if the relegated teams appeal against the unfairness of thEFL overlooking their own rules?

Isn’t this just the same Daily Mail article that was shared previously?

from the EFL statement, the Wigan deduction is being applied at full time, but the appeal will be resolved before the season officially ends with the play off final.

Wednesday and Derby sagas likely to continue into next season. Which would be good for Wednesday and bad for Derby

Its ********, the EFL have already said if Wigan are to finish outside relegation zone they'll be deducted 12 points.

What I don't get with Wigan and people defending them going into admin claiming it's due to Covid so they shouldn't face the deduction is the fact the new owners took over during this so were well aware of the situation.

It seems more likely to me they are looking to clear some debt and had hoped to be 12 points above the relegation zone by now.

I wouldn’t be surprised to find out the appeal is not about Covid but about the takeover etc.
I would imagine no team has ever been bought out and literally weeks later gone into administration like them.

I don’t think anyone has officially said the appeal is around Covid, wouldn’t be surprised if that’s just people guessing.
Edit: just found where owners are claiming Covid.

Ive just read on social media (sorry if its old news) that wigan have accepted £2 million for kieffer moore.
Sooooo where do QPR get that kind of cash? I thought they were like millions upon millions indebt. This is rhetorical of course but it goes to show how crooked the system is. QPR should have been banned from signing anyone until they reduced their debt in full.

COVID has effected every club, its just them blaming it instead of saying they overspending too much, don't they still owe us money for moore?

the whole saga as been a total calamity by the efl
they say any wigan appeal would be heard and dealt before the p/o final,
imagine the scenario if say fulham were in the same position as either, got dropped out of the play off places then won their appeal?
a successful law suit could bankrupt the efl if it resulted in a team denied the prem money.
we've always known the efl bosses are incompetent but this situation takes the biscuit, and they're saying its out of their hands, was it november they got charged?
i even feel for the wendy fans not knowing if even a win tomorrow they could drop, teams can up their game or relax more depending on the game, pretty sure if it was announced a few weeks a go they would have made it more intense,

if we do drop tomorrow i'm hoping any pending wigan/wendy points off wouldn't matter anyway so we can't get too pissed off

This article isn't accurate, not where Wigan are concerned any way. I have no doubt that Wednesday will 'get away' with it this season.
