Fair enough. 1 condition. Just relegate 2 of the teams. Then 4 go down next year.

Not sure wigan will win it think they are just trying there luck. They spunked over 10miilion last summer on players with gates of 8k paying wages beyond there means. I think the grounds of the appeal is the efl should have not let the new owners take over.

In Wigan's defence Wednesday should be deducted 12 minimum for blatant cheating.

Their grounds for appeal are that they couldn't expect the negative financial impact of covid-19. In reality that isn't what caused their financial woes.

If they win that appeal then if I was Paul Conway I would be instructing the lawyers to act

Course he will. He instructs the lawyers to act if the lights are on red when he gets to stairfoot.

Law suits will undoubtedly follow if the EFL don't enforce their own rules.

Not just from us either but from other clubs who have had points deductions for administration.

    Blimey. That's harsh!
They have to be on red for someone or there'd be a massive accident.

I'd prefer to say they lose it. Let's say that instead.

If COVID caused their administration, where are the other 20 clubs who followed suit because it destroyed their finances too?

Our mate Nixon is saying a decision is being made tomorrow on whether to proceed with the appeal. Preferred bidder may want to start in league 1 with the smaller budget to get their house in order

But the owners took over during the pandemic so I would say they were well aware....

Wigan have appointed a top lawyer to fight their case and they've announced the
    Administrators have identified new owners.

Particularly given 91 other clubs have had to deal with it as well. As I state elsewhere, the legal implications of them overturning their own rules are immense. There is our lost £6m for starters.

If they win an appeal against a mandatory deduction for a named offence, the EFL will be very quickly in The High Court.

Yep, good point. It would open a real can of worms if they don't enforce their rules.
