Just beaten Boreham Wood to get through. Play Notts County or Barnet next Sunday at Oakwell South.

They hadn’t played a match for 20 weeks so that is quite an achievement and this will be their first trip to the National Stadium.

Agreed. I would love to see them promoted. As a Knaresborough lad I always keep an eye on how they are doing.

They deserve a shot as they pushed Barrow all the way for top spot. I only live ten minutes from the ground but have not managed to see them all season due to fixture clashes with Reds home games. Saw it on BT Sport today and they played well.
Our nemesis Jon Stead came on for them but didn’t score. He’s 37 now

They've fluffed their lines a couple of times in recent seasons but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this will be their season.

Great for them and I hope they win. It's a shame their experience won't have fans. Especially as Leeds United fans probably would have made sure they had a 30k plus following.

You may be right about that although I’m not sure how much connection there is between the two. It was a shame that no one was there today for the biggest game in their history so far

I go to Knaresborough a lot on my bike, along the old railway line through the Nidderdale valley. There’s not many better town views in the country than that from the castle gardens along the river to the Nidd viaduct. Can sit there all day looking at that

I used to baby sit for the managers mam and dad (owners of Harrogate Town).
His mother is nice now - but she was a real stunner when she was younger.
Mi cousin is big mates with them.

My brother lives in Harrogate and over recent years I've watched them on Boxing Day when I've visited and they've been at home. Great little set up and a cosy little bar serving a nice pint of black sheep if I remember correctly. Wish them well

There is some wonderful scenery in Knaresborough, it was a great place to be as a kid and growing up. I really miss it.

Yes, delighted for them and hope they win promotion. Been down to Wetherby Road a few times this season, including the league game against Boreham Wood which, I recall was a draw. Also go to watch Knaresborough and Tadcaster Albion so long as they don't clash with The Reds' games. Makes me smile when I read on here people talking about "ale house leagues" I struggle to think of them as football fans....

The ground is coming along nicely with a view to getting into the league. Shame about the artificial pitch though

Yes I love it! First time there was a school trip, being frightened to death down in the castle dungeon!

Agree 100%. It’s just football. Different skill levels but the aim is the same. I’ve followed several non league sides over the years due to my travels. It’s not the same as watching the Reds, but still enjoyable.

Daughter plays for the girls U11's and gets a free season pass so end up going quite often. Ground coming along nicely - though grass pitch might stop a big income stream for club - won't be able to hire it out to the cloggers every week night! Don't think they will beat Notts Co though.

Are artificial pitches still banned in the Football League? Assuming Harrogate get promoted, of course.

Hope they go up, and I hope they don’t have to rip up the 3G pitch either

I watch Harrogate Town with my young lad whenever I can (i.e. When the Reds aren't playing) and they've some decent players who could quite easily hold their own in league two. It's literally a five minute walk from my house and I always hope for a Reds away fa cup game there. I'm just gutted that I can't take my lad to Wembley to see them. They've come a long way from their days in the west riding and northern counties east League from when I was a lad.

Yes still banned - even though they are a great source of incone for clubs. Choice is 250k for grass or 1 mill for a hybrid pitch.
