My biggest annoyance during this whole coronavirus thing

Is the constant stories on the BBC website

"The prime minister will announce on Friday"
"Boris Johnson will announce on Monday"
"Boris will set out on Thursday"

Boris and his mates should keep their gobs shut until they give their announcements. It's scandalous that the BBC knows everything that's going to come out of his gob a week before it does. It shows that either the government is grossly incompetent and deliberately leaking information which causes people to die or there are serious security concerns within the government.

 

The government does it on purpose to gauge the public reaction before deciding whether to go ahead or change their mind.

 

I also think that this government is taking a leaf out of the book of Donald Trump in that after one controversial story there will always be another controversial story to follow up. This means that the general public and the mass media along with opposition haven't got a chance to properly scrutinise the government for all the daft decisions.

Look at Dominic Cummings, been brushed under the carpet as its now yesterday's news despite him and his cronies sticking the finger up at the public. It's sickening that we've got 5 years of this

 

I understand that but all it actually does is either cause panic or people to go crazy. They leaked that they would relax lockdown in a week and everyone went to the beach.

The only decision they've made which was actually abided by was when they announced a full lockdown out of the blue
