The only player realistically we have who is worth anything. He isn't 10 million but he's certainly not 2.5. 5 million should be the absolute minimum. Again I get we have to sell players, but to then be linked with an spl player who is hardly prolific for 1 million .... All rumours at the minute tho.
Miserablists? Fook my life! Ave a word with thysen will yer please! We’d be down now If Wigan hadn’t have been naughty! Can’t get me breath sometimes on here, folk have shorter memories than goldfish it appears!
Is anyone surprised? This is our business model. Argue about the price, but we made money. Get over it and wait for the next superstar.
The difference in how struber congratulated woodrow over the others said it all i reckon. All the rest got the im so proud of you and he got a well done with a tinge of sadness in a way. Doubt very much he will be here in september.
Two major surprises on this board this week, The recap video and the Statement released not received any negative comments(I think). That’s not to say IMO that either warranted it but usually someone comes along with a ‘yeah but’
Seemed to me he was talking more to Woodrow as if giving him a specific message where others was more just a ‘yeah/wahoo’
Agree we are in the the top half of the league for shots and chances created . Bottom for chance conversion which suggests the strikers aren’t doing their job . Woodrow has been poor since the lockdown , don’t know what his assist stats are but I think they might be low
Joint 133rd in League with 2 , which sounds worse than is as ones above him are on 3 with joint 87th.
If we’re talking about clubs being naughty, we would’ve been able to compete on a more level playing field had ALL clubs not been naughty and perhaps not been in a relegation battle. All ifs and buts of course but you can’t just use one example to make your point and disregard the other possible scenarios. Unless you too have a short memory
We need real pace and power at the top end of the pitch and Woodrow while having lots of attributes hasn’t really got either .
But he wouldn’t have. Because he isn’t physical enough and doesn’t work hard enough to play up front on his own in a Bielsa team. I think Cauley’s a great striker but steady on. This whole thread is a bit mental. All being presented as fact based on one Facebook post - from the same source that said ‘devastating news incoming’.
Still very raw, but definitely has potential and knows where the net is. I would think that he would be a 1-2 year development plan before being ready for the Championship.
He had two very good games against West Brom, especially at The Hawthorns. I did wonder if Fulham might be up for taking him back, presuming that Mitrovic will leave, especially if they don't go up via the play-offs.
I don't think that he doesn't work hard enough, more that he wants to be on the ball too much. Reminds me of Wayne Rooney (when he played upfront), in the sense that he'll drop deep into his own half to get on the ball, which isn't a negative, just something you'd definitely not want from a lone striker. I still don't understand the 'get Woodrow upfront' b*llocks. Moving him to the top of the diamond complimented him, Brown and Chaplin. He still had ample opportunities in the box, and could drop deep whilst Brown/Chaplin provided the outlet upfront. He's still put a shift in, since lockdown, but hasn't looked his usual self. He's looked as though he's something lined up.
