Pending Sheff Wednesday and Derby points deduction decisions. No-one is relegated yet. Charlton would be the first team to benefit, if they survive long enough.
I don't think we'll hear much about the Wednesday & Derby cases in the next few days. It'll be next year if the Bolton debacle is anything to go by. Charlton are down unfortunately, just between us and Wigan's court case now.
Pigs n Derby too big for the EFL to tackle. They'd have to grow some balls first. And disinfect them.
Given that it’s taken 9 months for them to decide on Wednesday and Derby, 5 months for Diaby, and still don’t know what to do about Wigan, and Macclesfield , I’m sure they are well prepared for the deck of tumbling cards as clubs after club goes into admin / liquidation.
Cannot understand a governing body that makes rules, regulations and punishments and then does not know how to use them or implement them.
The difference being with Derby and Wendy is that they are being investigated so innocent until proved guilty and there’s no time limit for a thorough investigation . The Wigan case is set in stone the rules state that if a club goes into administration it’s an automatic 12 points with the timing of the points depends on where club finish in league . Wigan are not contesting this they are contesting Force Majeure has
It doesn't look good for Charlton at all. They have a tiny squad, which is getting smaller by the day, and are under a transfer embargo. I'd be surprised if they don't go the same way as Bolton, fighting to get games on, and ultimately tumbling through the leagues.
Feel for any fans in similar position, but must be extra difficult for those fans involved with the struggle to have the club move back to the Valley
