That would go to court though surely as its this season that they've had the benefit of the financial irregularities.
EFL bottling b@stards punishment should always be in the same season.Think either us or a Wigan will see them in court!
Dont blame Wednesday it's the efl farce. It will be a huge hit for them. I have friends who are genuine and admitted when their owner took over, if this money spending dont pay off they are playing with fire. It's a shame really that football as become a business ti be fair. I get that efl are trying to capitalise on that but it's okay for premier league clubs to spend what they want. They should be a Cap and they would no be no need to be ffp regulations and it would stop club doing loopholes and breaking it
Now wait for the appeal from Wigan or Barnsley for it to be applied this season dependent upon the result from the Wigan hearing. It's going to be a long summer of litigation
I don’t think that’s the point. A decision has been made during the current season so why can’t the deduction be applied instantly? I’m fairly confident we’re still in the current season until next week - that’s what we keep being told in relation to Wigan’s appeal. There doesn’t seem to be any consistency as to when deductions are applied. Maybe Charlton will contest it if Wigan lose their appeal. Maybe Barnsley will if Wigan win.
Regardless, the minus 12 will be a MASSIVE gap to fill. If they have to cut back on player transfers they will really struggle. I hope the fans can justify their outlay for season tickets, it could be a big, big waste of money.
