    Players that deliberately cough at other players should be sent off. Just as players that spit at other players should be.

    Spitting at or near an opponent is obvious and should not be tolerated but it just struck me that it might be
    difficult to prove that a cough was deliberate unless of course it's blatant or exaggerated.

    They’ll have to use VAR to decide if the cough was ‘with intent’ or accidental, inside the box or outside etc.

    Played Sunday league most of my life. Never ever had so much saliva build up that it became a necessity to spit it out. Bizarre habit of some professionals imo.
