These " internal" deals always seem a little dodgy

That's what I think, is it not like selling your ground to yourself but obviously on a smaller scale. But looking at that buffont its size of cop at Hillsborough

So it seems natural that our next big signings will be from Ostend.
    With Austrian connections of course.

It's a way in which owners can put money into the club isn't it? If they wanted to. McGeehan signs for Oostende for £5 million pounds...

And that's exactly why I'm against it. It's about 5 or 6 steps from selling the ground to yourself for 60m

It does open us up to scrutiny if I'm honest. Palming a player off to a sister club because other teams can't (i'm assuming) meet his wages does give us a bit of an unfair advantage over other teams. Two rights don't make a wrong, either (i.e. other teams are doing far worse/ pumping cash into clubs).

This isn't a deal I think should be undisclosed etc.

Mmmmmmm dont know what to think. I guess he is surpluses to the coach's requirements and had to leave. Maybe we werent getting the fee we wanted from pompy etc etc and so decided to help the satellite branch over the water. Interesting no mention of monies been exchanged too (unless i missed it).
It sounds like a loss on paper, the only caveat here i can think of is maybe we will get a recprical deal with a decent player, when theres one available.
I was looking forward to getting a bit of cash for him so we could spend on our squad....lets see eh?

Think too many on here are jumping to too many assumptions without knowing any facts(surprise surprise). Clubs have had feeder/sister clubs for decades, get a grip and concentrate on the season ahead

It'll be the next thing to bash the owners with, with all these multi million deals we'll be doing with them...

I’d imagine there’s financial regulation in Belgian football too. I don’t think buying a club, and financially crippling it, purely to add some money into another owned club is realistic.

Let’s not forget that Ganaye was here when we brought McGeehan to the club. No doubt he played a big part in both moves.

I'm not saying that's what the owners are doing. I just wonder hypothetically about that kind of business . Whatever, that's two unwanted players off our wage bill and over there.

The way I see it is it's x amount of money for the owners to use towards transfers here. It might be a sign that we're having a go next season. No rules against recycling your own money.
