FRESH ADDITIONS TO COACHING STAFF Club News Head Coach, Gerhard Struber has added to his backroom team ahead of the 20/21 season. Continue reading on the official site...
Nice to have an ex Bayern Munich youth coach on the team. I would imagine they may have a few decent youngsters coming through.
I don’t know much about either but the list of clubs they’ve been connected with is impressive. Could be a bit of a coup these 2.
Why? Also, it’s not really an affiliation, it’s one player on loan and a coach that was with their under 16s 9 years ago.
Think I get his reasoning, Red Bull have basically bought their successes in football. They took over a practically non league German side and turned them into European cup semi finalists, achieving this by putting an obscene amount of money into them. However none of that is the fault of Ludewig or the new coach.
Why? Marc, the club said laat season through Billy Beane, that they wanted to have close links with them and follow their model. I think for our club with our self sustaining finance model. Not having a go, just wondered what your fears were.
Coached at the likes of RB Salzburg or coached at RB Salzburg? That's one for @Cunning Stunt's thread.
I understand why he might dislike Red Bull, but we’re linked because Struber was a coach at Salzburg and has used his ties to bring in coaches, and Ludewig. We’re hardly in any form of partnership with them. Certainly nothing to get upset about.
Random thought for the day...... would it be awful if Red Bull bought BFC? I don’t know much about their overall model but they certainly seem to invest and take smaller teams forwards. Not sure i would appreciate any name change but it would be better than some fish merchant or other suspect owner having control. Just musing!
Personally think they’re the very definition of corporate, soulless brand sports. If it were any other Club getting into bed with them, I suspect there would be plenty on here calling them ‘plastics’. Just my opinion
